whither gus ..... ??

Where are you Gus ..... ??

Busy like a fly in a jar

I'm still here, fluffing along like a ghost trying to go through a layer of low-shine coat of Dulux.... I send my illustrative efforts directly to the powers motivating this wonderful site and they get posted sometimes on the new Webdiary (http://webdiary.com.au)... I try to be less crass and more class... Difficult in theses times of baseball bat waving, Johnnee's blind spots, Costello typo's and Bushee's acceptance speech for Cockups Inc, begging for patience and argueing for more illegal spying...

As mentioned before here, if things get better in the world it's not due to the antics of our warring leaders building more arsenals of mass destruction but to the persistence of those, the majority of people of good will, who know the only way to true peace is via peace itself.

I do not have time to do much keyboard blogging so what I said in the past still stand as verbatum Gusology

Shalom, Salam, Peace...

city hall .....

Well spoken Gus .... but we miss your work !!!

Have you pursued Hamish over your 'technical' difficulties - I'm more than happy to take-up the issue if you like ?

Cheers.

the meaning of sedition .....

‘Laura Berg is a clinical nurse specialist at the VA
Medical Center in Albuquerque, where she has worked for 15 years.

Shortly after Katrina, she wrote
a letter to the editor of the weekly paper the Alibi criticizing the Bush
Administration.

After the paper published the
letter in its September 15-21 issue, VA administrators seized her computer,
alleged that she had written the letter on that computer, and accused her of
“sedition.”’

VA Nurse Investigated For
"Sedition"

a bright line .....

‘Federal Attorney-General Philip
Ruddock is prepared to revise the Government's new sedition laws after an
independent inquiry found they were illogical and anachronistic.

Mr Ruddock was
"predisposed" to abandon the use of the term "sedition", a
spokeswoman for the minister said yesterday after the Australian Law Reform
Commission urged that the laws be renamed and rewritten.

But because the ALRC's proposals
were contained in a discussion paper, Mr Ruddock was awaiting the commission's
final report.

In an interim report, the ALRC
urged the Government to remove the concept of sedition from the federal statute
book because of the threat to free speech.’
