good luck, mister the president...

presidentum

Dear Mister president

I know. Being President of the most powerful nation on the planet is a bugger... You say with confidence "Yes-we-can" to get elected and once there, your realise you can't do much about anything...  And you have inherited a few damned messes from your lying predecessor — financial, political, international, philosophical crap — messes that are not going to go away in a jiffy... On one hand, the trio of Bush, Blair and John Howard removed the only bad guy you could have relied upon to squash those other bad guys of the Islamic State of the levant or Isis for short... Saddam would have gassed the lot. Sure you would have thrown our arms in the air in moral disgust, but the resultant would have been in your favour. On the other hand, the world economy is "soft"...

So you snugly thought that by spying on all the people of the world, everyone, alive or dead, using the internet and electronic communication surveillance with a gigantic collection of in-for-ma-tion, you'd know exactly what the world was about and where your enemies are lurking in the shadows.
Of course you were wrong, all you got is a massive amount of useless data, mostly trash, that no one has time to analyse and that could be wiped out by a massive burst of solar flare tomorrow...

Thus, Mr President, you are between a rock and a hard place when the Isis "armies" decided to invade Iraq from Syria where they were fighting against someone you had deemed to be an annoying despot against freedom — Mr Assad... But as you know things are never a simple as black and white...

So, before going any further let me ask a favour if you please, but tell your little yapping dog, Sir Tony Aussieland to put the lid on his warring ambitions and his pants back on... All he is doing is exacerbating the situation and not giving you the time to think clearly about the situation... He is even sending "military advisers" to Ukraine... Lunacy would be his new middle name, if it was not already...
At this stage, you do not have many choices left... Any support you can offer to the enemies of Isis, is giving assistance to your own declared terrorists group, arch enemies like the PKK — and possibly such action is going to make the problem grow (you know, action and reaction of the Archimedes principle)... So this is a situation that you cannot win with the internet or just a few words of anger...
Yes, the mongrels of Isis slipped under the radar of your magnificent useless spy network, unless you knew what they were doing but had an ulterior motive in letting the situation deteriorate... Sure, It's annoying when the same people you support in helping you get rid of your boogeyman Assad, are at the same time doing the dirty on you on another front (in your back actually)... Well this is simply the way humans are, mad stupid mule-heads, enticed by the powerful zealotric illusions found in all religions and dictums.
Despite all the goodwill in the world, it seems someone is always going to try to screw you under the name of god... including ghosts from the past which are coming back to haunt the house.

Remember how Germany fell, mostly due to what was called then "Carpet Bombing"?... The destruction of Dresden is etched in many of my friends' memory. They survived the bombs and the aftermath — the hunger, the thirst, the dust... the dead... in a city that had been completely destroyed.  Carpet bombing of course was also used in Vietnam and despite defoliants and other horrid chemicals like Napalm, this war was notched as a defeat for the USA. One must say here, that what also tipped the balance against the Germans, were the Russians who had lost a few million men to stop the invasion of their and other countries, such as Ukraine...

But "one could not trust" the Communists because in the old USA, communism is bad in the eyes of the neo-fascist capitalists that the western world has become... The freedom to screw people gently is venerated as the utmost vital part of the US constitution, while creating the Dollar Empire.

One would also have to look at Chamberlain waving his bit of paper that was not worth the ink or consider the pact of non-aggression between Russia and Germany until the shit hit the fan and Hitler thought he would outdo Napoleon on this one... Deviousness rules — always... Hypocrisy and greed.
So basically the world is a mess. Nothing new. The sun shines...

The Isis idiots taunting the west with beheadings have pushed our own Idiot-in-Chief to think that it is reason enough to supply arms and ammos to the Kurds, who of course are a terrorist organisation according to the Turks and the rest of the western world since the Turks are our friends (but not good enough yet to join the European Union) though they trounced us at Galipoli...

Meanwhile as you may have noticed, the American banking system STINKS and it has got away with far too much for far too long... But of course it's hard to muzzle a hydrous monster made of sharks, snakes and T-rexes... The fines that the banks have had to pay while no-one has gone to prison shows how frightened the US treasury is of the financial rogues who plunder the system with impunity. Anyway they will use our cash to pay their fines — not making a single dent in their profits.

Put a few of these thieves in prison, that should calm the money market a bit...

So yes-we-can is yes-we-cannot do much or nothing-at-all, except hope the bad smells will go away... They won't... There are trouble-makers in the toilet S-bend. The Saudis should have helped put the lid on Isis but of course they won't. The Saudis are "too clean" to get involved though they are the main undercurrent in this war between Shiite and Sunnis, in which medieval style of wars is fought with machine guns mounted on Toyota-utes... This is a medieval war which has been going on for centuries, on camel's back — possibly since the death of Mohamed.
So what to do?

Well, you could get the other bad guys take care of the situation by proxy. Let Putin take the Russian bit of Ukraine as he should and get him to carpet bomb the Sunni countryside under Isis control... This would be totally outrageous of course but that would stop you from not sleeping at night and maintain your high moral ground. Putin and his mates in Iran, allied with bad Assad, could beat the shit out of the Sunni Isis while you become the referee and keep the Saudis on the side-line... Ugly, but win-win...

So far, it's obvious that your surgical removal of "terrorists" in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia has not worked too well. A terrorist is born every minute.... And annoyingly, though your drones kills some terrorists, it also comes with collateral damage like that in 2009 when a missile fired from a US drone killed about 120 women and children in Afghanistan... Apologies and blah blah had to follow...

Meanwhile, our Aussie Idiot in-Chief trying to help is not going to help. Tell him to sit down.

His main yapper is a woman who, according to some respectable elders, is a fantastic foreign minister telling Putin where to get orf... accusing him of downing MH17... Impressive... except she does not know what she is talking about despite appearing firm like a Chamberlain's bit of paper in the breeze... All she is doing is pointing the finger in the wrong places with morality at her side like a little Maltese terrier ready to attack a rottweiler for no good reason... Brave but silly and dangerous...

The mix of morality, politics and war is never pretty... And yet decisions have to be made... Morality should not be the gauge... If I were you I'd bomb Riyadh, but then it may not look good on my CV... So it could be a choice of doing nothing, something that won't work, something that's going to lengthen the bad sore or something that will put a stop to Isis and its cronies, including the UAE, for good measure...

Stop buying petrol from all these countries might be a start and make your countrymen pay more for their gas... Don't forget that the price of gas (petrol) in Europe is about four times that of gas in the United States... Talking of a level playing field, we're not!... In Aussieland the price of petrol is about twice that of the US.

Do something drastic, make rich people pay for the huge US deficit that sustains their wealth, comfort and peace of mind... but may as well shoot yourself in the head if you want to raise taxes for the rich. You might have to raid the Bahamas and Israel to stop them helping money laundering...

And between you and me, all these major problems will become the loose change of history in a global warming situation, soon coming near you...
Another point, as Isis is settling down, it still needs supply, Hit their supply lines with your surgical know how... starve them to death...
Who knows. This might work and depopulate that region...

Today, the headline is "Bullish Obama vows to 'degrade and destroy' Isis"... Good one...

But Isis is the naughty child of crazy fundamentalist Wahhabism. The parents might not be taking this lightly and since they have plenty more naughty children around the world including the older brother Al Qaeda, Al Shabab and other sibblings we don't know much about, be careful. Be swift, surgical and efficient like when destroying a hornet nest... otherwise you will be stung in the arse.

Of course I have much better ideas on how to sort out this presidential mess, but since no-one is paying me for my advice, it will be tough titties on that score.

Good luck.

Abbott's Iraq adventure: Spinning Australians into harm's way...

Despite what Tony Abbott might suggest, we can’t just bomb people, supply munitions to strangers or take sides in wars without inviting serious consequences, writes Kellie Tranter.

WHILE THE AUSTRALIAN POPULATION understands the importance of our Government providing humanitarian assistance to those in harm’s way overseas, they are less likely to support foreign policy actions that may jeopardise their own personal safety and that of their families and friends.

A confusing narrative has developed about whether or not Australia’s actions in Iraq – and potentially Syria – would increase the risk of an attack in Australia. It’s an important question that needs to be answered.
