happy birthday johnnee .....

Rudd gifts Howard a goat .....

Prime Minister John Howard has been given a goat for his 67th birthday today.

Opposition foreign affairs spokesman Kevin Rudd says the goat will go to help people in Sudan as a "gift-in-kind" through an aid organisation.

He says while he was in Sudan recently he was told people needed either goats or donkeys.

"I spent 100 bucks and have delivered to the PM's office last night a letter congratulating the Prime Minister on his 67th birthday, with a gift certificate with a picture of a milking goat," Mr Rudd said.

"That will now head off to a village in the Dafur."

my sympathies to the goat .....

Yes Gus,

in case you missed It, our little birthday boy was up to his usual deceitful tricks on the 7:30 report last night, spruiking his well known brand of disingenuous pap ….

KERRY O'BRIEN: This is a serious situation and the ratio of Lebanese civilian deaths to Israeli civilian deaths is something like 20 to 1. What does that say to you about the nature of this conflict?

JOHN HOWARD: Well, I think it probably says that Israel's military capacity is greater than that of Hezbollah …..

So, if the ratio of Israeli victims is 1 for 20 Lebanese victims, it's not because Israel is involved in a massacre but rather that they just have better weaponry!

Based on that kind of logic, Martin Bryant should be released immediately as, obviously, he did not intend to massacre 35 people at Port Arthur, but succeeded only because he was using a superior weapon.

Shame & disgust with the sick little rodent’s “core values” ….

Will their convictions stand?

Although I've not seen anything about this, it wouldn't surprise me if Peter Garrett rolls over on the nuclear issue too. When he was in Townsville a month ago he basically gave his blessing to the TSDA, a heavy industrial area planned to be put in up wind from a large established population, and adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef. Oh how people change.

For a better world on planet Dork

We've only got the Greens to support...

Like its American "counterpart" (the Democrats), the Labor party is trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

If the Garretts of this world give up dancing to the tune of protest to sit in the comfort of party-line politics, please would the last decent person turn off the lights... We better live in the dark and see nothin'...
