Mr Abbott said on Thursday he did not expect to return to cabinet, while Mr Turnbull has previously said he would favour renewal through the promotion of younger MPs and women into the ministry.

Coalition sources told The Australian Financial Review that Mr Abbott should be considered for cabinet, possibly the Defence portfolio.  

Speaking on Sydney's 2GB radio, Mr Dutton agreed some Coalition members would argue for Mr Abbott to be given a cabinet position after the election.

At the launch of Turdball's election promises, Tony Abbott was in the audience and looked glum... Some people unawares would have seen a defeated man... Not Gus. I see someone who is part of the greater plot to come back. He HAD to look glum on the occasion. Smiling would have betrayed his forever ebullient state of mind preparing for the next step: a brilliant comeback using all his ultra-conservative mates in the party and the fact that all what Turdball promises will turn to boloney, including the decimation of medicare, the ABC, SBS, education —  and rising CO2 emissions — all which was not properly mentioned by Malcolm on his delirious deluded launch. People will rise against Malcolm within six months and the theory goes that Malcolm will be knifed by his supporters in the party, for a Tony Abbott come back with more humble bullshit promises, under the umbrella that he "learnt his lesson", blah blah blah... All Crap of course.

If i was a betting man, I'd say 98 per cent chances that Malcolm won't be standing for the elections after this one on Saturday, 2 July, 2016 which according to my onions could be the "coldest day of the year" — specifically chosen to dispel the thoughts of climate change in your dumb minds. Summer could be another scorcher.
