the clinton you have when you really don't want a clinton...

trump versus trump

Crazy About the Presidency — dowd vs cunningham...

Here follow two opinion pieces. Both are designed by their writers to respectively demolish the credibility of Trump and that of Clinton. We know that both of these Presidential candidates are loonies, liars and not worth the future we need. Dowd makes one silly mistake: she mentions that trump kicked a crying baby out of his 'convention" while the contrary is true. Thus, though Dowd has written a tongue-in-cheek piece, she should revise it not include such a blatant MEDIA lie. We also know that La Clinton is a loony warmonger.

WASHINGTON — IT is Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, 2017.

Donald Trump searches his drawer for a note from Barack Obama, something on heavy cream stationery with the White House insignia, maybe reiterating the Obama doctrine, “Don’t do stupid stuff.”

But there is nothing there.

That puts Trump in a huff. How dare Obama depart without leaving the customary handwritten good-luck missive?

He grabs his phone and tweets: “SAD!! No note from my predecessor. No Class Obama.”

The tweet doesn’t go through. Must be something about the White House secure communications, he thinks. He’ll figure it out later. Right now, he needs to savor the moment.

“I did it. My way. They said I was a dangerous, insane traitor, a threat to national security, a Siberian candidate in cahoots with Pooty-Poot. That spook for Hillary, Michael Morell, the ex-C.I.A. chief who dished up the flawed intelligence that helped get us into the Iraq war — which I opposed from the beginning, even if I said the opposite — called me ‘an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation.’

“That reminds me, I need to give Vlad a ring today from the hotline and find out what I’m supposed to do now. Just kidding.

“The political elite was in a frenzy about what would happen if I got my short finger on the nuclear button. Where is the button, by the way? Or is it a football? I know football better than anyone. I used to play and even had a team. If I find that football, I’m gonna punt it right at Little Mikie Bloomberg. Talk about a traitor.

“He was the guy who kicked off all the crazy talk about me being crazy at the Democratic convention, after he used to kiss up to me all the time and talk about how charismatic I am. He called me to rescue the Ferry Point golf course. And we all know he can’t stand Hillary. She must have promised him Treasury secretary.

“I’ll find my nukes in a minute. First I need to write out a pardon for Melania for her immigration violations before she has to clamber over the new wall in her stilettos. Who would have ever thought the problem with a nude photo portfolio of the next first lady would be a question about whether she had the right visa or not?

“So many things to do. Luckily I have the best metabolism ever. I need to name my cabinet. I’m going to make Ivanka secretary of state. And Tiffany will be over at Defense. Keep it in the family. Since my boys are so into wildlife, I’ll put them over at Interior, where they can endanger a few species. Rudy, Newt and Chris can fight over the scraps.

“My temperament is so perfect for this job. The greatest temperament in the history of temperaments because you go through pressure and you have to be able to handle pressure. The brouhaha over whether I was a nut job was so unfair. It got so big that Dr. Phil and Dr. Drew were both on TV analyzing my so-called narcissistic personality disorder.

“They said this happens when megalomania and a sense of omnipotence, which are normal in childhood, are carried over into adulthood. They said the symptoms are an excessive need for admiration, a lack of empathy for others’ feelings, an obsession with achieving power and success, and the desire to take advantage of people around you.

“Does that even sound remotely like me? Not a chance. Sounds more like Bill Clinton and Ted Cruz.

“The madness over my madness reached its peak in August, when Congress raced back from its break to pass legislation requiring presidential candidates to pass a psychiatric exam. That Republican Benedict Arnold, Jeff Flake, was the main sponsor, so it ended up being called the Flake Act. Ha-ha-ha.

“Congress couldn’t find a way to get money to fight Zika but they found a way to force me to take a Rorschach test. I passed with flying colors. Best score ever. I told those Freudians that all the ink blots looked like the way America used to be.

“As my doctor said, I’m the healthiest man ever to run for president. And man, did I run. Sure, things got a little wacky at times. I kicked that baby out of the rally. I got confused about the Iran video. I fought with that Gold Star family. I toyed with Paul Ryan and tortured John McCain. I alienated the entire African-American community, not to mention Latinos, women, millennials and Republicans.”

He clicks on the overhead TV set and quickly turns it off in disgust.

“The Clinton News Network and MSNBC and the failing New York Times are so biased, you’d think that Hillary won the presidency, not me. She’s still all over the news.

“Crooked Hillary got so full of herself and overconfident that she even pulled out of states like Virginia and Colorado in August, when I hadn’t even really started my campaign yet.

“My family and friends were worried about me when the polls nose-dived in August. They thought I wouldn’t be able to handle it without lashing out or dropping out. And they worried that my brand would go from Winning to Losing. But I knew those polls were rigged. The poorly educated angry white people still flocked to my rallies and I knew they would carry me through.

“Those haters gave me so much love and support that it comforted me. They believed me when I told them the economy had hit rock bottom, even though the jobs and wage numbers showed otherwise.

“It was a long, hot summer. But I was finally able to make the case to the voters that they had the wrong fruitcake. I wasn’t bonkers. Hillary was. She cannot handle pressure. I handle pressure. That pathological liar could never get her stories straight on those emails. She just got more and more tangled up, parsing her parsing. She’s disgusting. And people finally started reading that book by the Secret Service agent that I was pushing and the press was suppressing. It proved that she is truly unhinged and unbalanced.

“She scares her staff and blows up over anything. She’s a very angry person. She’s such an angry white person, she should be one of my supporters. I don’t know why she’s always grinning when I turn on the TV. And she’s practically stalking me. Every time I see her lately, she’s pictured around the White House. I should tell the Secret Service to get her tossed.”

The door opens. Trump looks up, expecting Mike Pence.

But it’s two orderlies in white coats collecting the ex-presidential candidate, who lost in a landslide to Hillary after spending the fall being treated at Bellevue under the provisions of the Flake Act. After all the cries of “Lock her up!” it turned out he was the one who got locked up.

“Mr. Trump, it’s time for your impulse-control/delusion-reduction therapy,” one orderly says soothingly. “We need to go early. It would be crazy to miss the swearing-in today of Madam President.”

The second piece is by  Finian Cunningham

The US political elite and media are moving closer to dump Trump and thus write the November presidential election result. If such political orchestration were happening in Russia, the American media would be decrying “Kremlin tyranny”.

But, hey, this is the Land of the Free. Free, that is, for the rich and powerful to make up the rules as they go along – even when such rule-making and —breaking has become transparently brazen.

Over the past week, Donald Trump, the Republican billionaire property magnate-turned politician, has been accused of just about every flaw, from sexual assault to financial corruption, to being a foreign stooge for Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

That’s rich given his Democrat rival, Hillary Clinton and her husband, Bill, are up to their eyes from substantive claims of even worse skullduggery, from laundering Saudi oil money into US foreign policy to waging covert wars for regime change, to serial sex parties on a fleshpot private island owned by one of Bill’s rich buddies.Added to this litany of vice is evidence of Hillary Clinton breaching state secrecy rules while she was Secretary of State (2009-2013) through private use of government emails. Not only is Clinton spared criminal investigation, the media generally avoid any focus on her and her husband’s numerous proven depredations.

The double standard and double think are all part of the systemic bias in the US political process, whereby millions of ordinary citizen voters are being disenfranchised by the rich and powerful elite in order to determine who will be their puppet in the White House.

Of the recent deluge of deprecations hurled at Trump, it is perhaps the charge of being a military draft dodger that illustrates just how hypocritical and self-serving the US establishment and its servile corporate media are.

The US media are saying that Trump’s five military service deferments during the Vietnam War in the late 1960s make him ineligible to be the nation’s Commander-in-Chief.So, when was that same standard ever applied for past presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, both of whom were elected twice to the White House despite evidence that they shirked the military draft for their country? The case against Bush as a draft dodger is especially strong, as documented by American author Russ Baker in his book, Family of Secrets. During the early 1970s, young George was posted to the Texas National Guard’s flying squadron with the help from his daddy, George senior, pulling strings among the Republican Party leadership. At the time “Poppy” Bush was a senior Republican chairman, with close connections to the Central Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon and Big Oil.Bush junior was then able to avoid military service in Vietnam because he was “on duty” at an airbase in Texas. But, as Baker and other researchers have found out, Bush’s “duty” was clouded with drinking binges, drug abuse and a very patchy record of actual military attendance. Indeed, there is evidence that George W. Bush never even completed his basic minimum service for the National Guard and was eventually banned from flying because of “psychological issues”.

But this apparent avoidance of patriotic obligation did not stop Bush three decades later becoming the 43rd president of the US in 2001 and again in 2005.
While 50,000 young American men – mainly from poor social backgrounds – were to die in Vietnam, with many more crippled physically and mentally, Bush and other privileged, well-connected peers were able to fiddle the system and spend their war years drinking highballs and snorting cocaine.Bush’s conduct record has never been pried open by the mainstream US media, even though plenty of skeletons lurk in his locker. One would think that suspicions of cowardice and fraud over Bush’s dodgy military history would be especially worthy of investigation given his responsibility for instigating wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, which have claimed over a million lives, including thousands of his own countrymen.

That legacy of death, destruction and conflict continues to blight entire regions – and was all started on the watch of a man who preferred to party in mess halls than to serve his nation in a time of need.

Donald Trump’s own history certainly sounds disreputable. At age 22, he availed of four military service deferments for “educational reasons” and one for having an alleged bone problem in one his feet. Years later, Trump said he couldn’t remember which foot was the cause of the “medical” problem.

No doubt Trump’s millionaire father had some bearing on why young Donald was able to avoid being shipped out to the jungles of Vietnam, unlike so many others of his generation.

Trump has also not done his tawdry past many favors either. He has made the inane and flippant comparison that his “personal Vietnam” was avoiding contracting sexual diseases during his wild youth.

More recently the Republican candidate’s ugly public spat with the Muslim parents of a slain US veteran killed during the Iraq War has also compounded accusations that Trump is not respectful of military servicemen and women. That echoes with Trump’s earlier disparagement of Senator John McCain as not being a qualified war hero because he was formerly a POW in Vietnam. “I prefer heroes who don’t get caught by the enemy,” quipped the bumptious Trump.

Trump’s glib views on the NATO military alliance and towards European and Asian allies are also pulled up by his detractors as further evidence of profanity towards “our national treasure”, as Hillary Clinton obsequiously describes the armed forces.

The maverick Republican nominee has a knack for sounding “anti-establishment”. Trump has efficiently tapped the discontent of millions of ordinary, working class Americans.

His background suggests, however, that he is very much part of the ruling establishment – a rich kid who inherited wealth to finance a property empire. In many ways, Trump is no different from George W. Bush, right down the personal history of dodging military service.

But Trump’s ambition has caused him to cross red lines in the eyes of the establishment. Calling political rivals like Clinton “crooked” and rubbishing the supposed democratic process as “rigged” are intolerable disclosures. For the ruling “one percent”, Trump’s iconoclasm of American myths is too destabilizing. He is a risk to the entire power structure and pretense of US democracy.

Hence, the US plutocracy are closing ranks to dump Trump. Whether Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, the ruling class are moving to foreclose on Trump’s candidacy.
The torrent of character flaws being leveled against Trump is not the real the issue. The flagrant hypocrisy over his draft-dodging compared with that of George W. Bush and other one percenters is proof of that.
What is at issue is how the US presidential election is being decided by a powerful minority.
Nothing new here, one might add, except the brazenness by which democratic choice in the US is made obsolete.

Arch-conservative Robert Kagan, husband of Victoria “F..k the EU” Nuland, is one of the growing number of top Republicans who are now backing Democrat Clinton for president. Kagan claims that Trump poses a danger for “fascism coming to the US”.

The truth is that Trump is only a symptom of the political disease that is already endemic in the US.

The views expressed in this article are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official position of Sputnik.

hard to know which one is the most certifiable...

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has urged its members to stop associating Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump with mental illness, despite the “anything but normal” 2016 election cycle.

The group warned that although this election is unique, members should refrain from analyzing the businessman and calling him “mentally ill”.

“This year, the election seems like anything but a normal contest, that has at times devolved into outright vitriol,”APA president Maria A Oquendo said. “The unique atmosphere of this year’s election cycle may lead some to want to psychoanalyze the candidates, but to do so would not only be unethical, it would be irresponsible.”

The announcement comes as a petition by Congresswoman Karen Bass urging the Republican party to diagnose Trump gained over 25,000 signatures in four days.

If America gets it wrong in November, he says, say goodbye to America’s liberty and prosperity for a generation.

Farah has worked hard directing his news team to conduct some of the biggest exposés of Hillary’s lies, obfuscation, corruption, character flaws, history and plans for the future on WND and in book form. Now he has assembled what he characterizes as “the essential guide to Hillary’s high crimes and misdemeanors” for those who want the resources to fight back by sharing them with their friends and family members before it’s too late.

Starting with the latest – hot off the presses:

  • “Hillary the Other Woman” is written by Bill Clinton’s oldest, dearest former friend – someone who got to know both “Billy,” as she calls him, and “Chilly,” as she calls her. Dolly Kyle knew Bill from the time she was 11 and he was 12. She maintained a close relationship with him right up till his presidential run in 1992. She describes a couple that is racist to the core, anti-Semitic, motivated exclusively by self-interest and prone to punishing anyone who represents a threat – politically or personally. It’s an amazing but true story and a fascinating read by a serious professional writer and former Clinton insider. It’s available right now only in the WND Superstore in hardcover (autographed too) and in e-book form at Amazon. Take your pick. If you’d like a real bargain, snag the hardcover version for just $4.95 and get a year’s worth of either WND’s digital weekly magazine, WND Weekly, or a year’s worth of WND’s monthly print magazine Whistleblower. (Those offers available only to those not currently subscribing.)

  • “Partners in Crime” by two-time No. 1 New York Times bestselling author Jerome Corsi is up next. This is the newest peek into how the Clintons operate – in broad daylight – as America’s No. 1 crime family. It exposes the way Bill and Hillary use their “family foundation” to shake down foreign donations for their own personal use, avoiding taxes, under the pretense of “charitable work.” It’s a huge scam and Corsi, as always, has the goods on them. Similarly, you can literally steal this book for $4.95 if you agree to subscribe to either WND Weekly or Whistleblower magazine for a year.

  • “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Made Bill and Hillary Rich” is another great work by a friend of ours – author Peter Schweizer. It’s a work of great authenticity and we highly recommend it.

a pyrrhic victory in novenber...

...

Most social problems, and/or their proposed solutions, are highly complex, and thus not conducive to brief interviews or abbreviated newspaper articles.  In addition, uninterrupted, learned analyses are less valuable to ratings and profits than "talking heads" screaming at, feuding with, or yelling over each other.

A popular saying states there are three forms of criticism:  good, which is favored because it praises one's work; bad, which keeps one's name in the public eye; and none, which essentially means a person or event isn't even newsworthy enough to be discussed.

Like it or not, Trump's antics, and the criticisms of them, have kept him in the public eye.  One recent online newspaper, for example, had eight headlines listed in its political section, and the name "Trump" was in six of them.

If you are a Trump supporter there are two inherent advantages, and if you are a Clinton supporter there are two dangerous disadvantages to the corporate-controlled media's coverage of Trump.

First, there is the very real prospect of provoking the reverse psychology of voters. Whether Americans want to acknowledge this phenomenon or not, it often seems that the more they are warned about the drawbacks or risks of taking or supporting some form of action, the more likely they are to attempt or support it, even when it is harmful to their personal interests.  I'm not sure if this is due to the mythical "rugged individualism" that allegedly fuels America, or if it is because of the very human instinct to resent being told what to do.  But whatever the reason, the result could be that the incessant warnings about the dangers of a Trump presidency might actually be the catalyst that creates it.

Naturally, to counter this argument, the corporate-controlled media will persistently refer to the "polls," which currently have Hillary Clinton in the lead.  But, as the Brexit experience taught the world, polls can be inaccurate, and, in some cases, intentionally deceptive.

In other words, many prospective voters who may be hesitant to openly support Trump will have no inhibitions about doing so in the anonymity of the voting booth.

So, regardless of who wins in November, the real winner will be corporate-controlled media's enduring culture of idiocy, the ignorance it engenders, and the ability of demagogues and megalomaniacs to exploit both. To paraphrase King Pyrrhus of Epirus, if there are too many "victories" like this, everything will be lost.

vote for hillary clinton, vote for armageddon...

From Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey (who is hated by The Guardian)

04.08.2016

In 2010, this column carried a piece written by the Venezuelan historian and writer Luis Britto Garcia, about the real intentions of Hillary Clinton and NATO, against the Russian Federation. Reading back over her messages released on Wikileaks, we can conclude that a vote for Clinton is a vote for the military-industrial complex and a world war.

The Princess of Darkness

Three years ago, Hillary Clinton was an ex-politician in retirement from the State Department. She didn't create a lot of interest, she was rarely in the news. Six years ago, Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State of the United States of America, actively engaged in the illegal war against Libya, siding with terrorists on the west's own lists of proscribed groups, rendering Libya a failed state crawling with terrorists, and today Islamic State. Islamic State, which grew up on Hillary Clinton's watch. Hillary Clinton, the Princess of Darkness, masterminded the transformation of Libya from the African country with the highest human development index into the poorest on the continent, a prosperous country which descended into total chaos and a collapse of the res publica. Not a bad day's work for a Secretary of State.

And then there was Syria, another country crawling with terrorists, some of them shipped over from Libya once the job was done. But behind the scenes something else far more sinister was brewing. Remember all the talk these days of the Baltic States and Poland and Romania, and a missile shield which is supposed to protect the USA and its allies from - Pluto was it? - but parked right along Russia's western flank?

Well, let us re-read Britto Garcia's work, six years on, and see what sort of person lies behind the character of Hillary Clinton, the candidate of the Democratic Party for President of the United States of America. Going back over history can help us put things into context, and it makes shocking reading, very worrying reading and a very telling warning sign over those who were thinking about voting for Hillary Clinton.

Secret NATO plans to destroy Russia

Among the Wikileaks documents released was a telegram including secret NATO plans for an attack against Russia. This is not speculation, it was printed by Britain's The Guardian newspaper and included a massive NATO strike against Russia's western flank dislocating nine military divisions from the United States of America, Poodle-in-Chief the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland. The attack was also to use German and Polish ports for a lightning naval attack to be staged by the USA and the UK.
One of the telegrams, claims Britto Garcia, was dated January 26, 2010, was signed by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and states: "The United States believes strongly that this plan should not be discussed in public. They are classified as "the top secret level of NATO". She adds: "Public discussion of contingency plans would undermine their military value, allowing them to expose NATO's plans. This weakens all of our allies."

The Queen of Liars

For those who today insinuate that Hillary Clinton is a serial liar, there is also evidence in the leaked documents that she, as head of the USA's diplomacy, gave instructions to diplomats to lie in case of any leaks, suggesting evasive answers such as " NATO does not discuss specific plans" and that "the plans of NATO, are not directed at any country".
So NATO's plans for the deployment of nine divisions are directed at what? The center of the Earth? Cloud cuckoo land?
Neither are we speaking about a single leaked telegram, we are speaking about many documents which at the time caused consternation among Russian diplomatic circles, then after the furore, Hillary Clinton disappeared. But the plans did not. The context of the plans was the defense of the Baltic States and the aim "to expand the plan that already exists for the defense of Poland". And today we see the three Baltic States ratcheting up the anti-Russian hype daily, speak among NATO circles of an invasion of these states by Russia (groundless gossip and nothing more) and then this year a massive military exercise in Poland, coupled with plans to instal the nuclear defense shield in Poland and Romania, virtually controlling Russia's air options along her western flank. This, after the failed attempt to seize Russia's Crimean naval assets.
Once again, Britto Garcia's work  is not empty hearsay. It includes mention of a telegram dated October 2009 in which the United States' ambassador to NATO, Ivo Daalder, stated that both Hillary Clinton and President Obama expressed support for the development of the military plan against Russia.

"Daalder suggests to not to make it clear that Russia is a potential target, by the adoption of a "generic plan" for moving troops to the Baltic countries while not mentioning against whom these troops would be directed - in case of leak - not to cause or provoke constraints with Moscow".

Conclusion: Clinton is the war candidate

The only conclusion we can draw is that Hillary Clinton represents the Establishment in the USA, staffed with people on both sides of the political divide, staffed by members of the lobbies which have long set their eyes on total hegemony and dominance of Russia's huge resources. They have fooled themselves into thinking that Russia would buckle and collapse at the first hint of a serious threat of war from NATO.
This is the sort of pie-in-the-sky, make-it-up-as-you-go-along, incompetent, pig-headed, holier-than-thou approach one might expect from Hillary Clinton, who in so many years of public office, has achieved precisely what? The adoration of Israel and the Zionist Lobby, the destruction of Libya, the destruction of Syria, and when Russia solved the chemical weapons debacle after western-backed Syrian terrorists carried out false flag attacks and blamed them on Assad, Clinton said the Russian approach was, and I quote, "despicable".
Hillary Clinton was out of her depth as Secretary of State. Imagine her as President and tool of the lobbies whose evil interests supercede any respect for the people of the United States of America and the citizens of the world. Hillary Clinton is a risk. Hillary Clinton is a wild card. Hillary Clinton is dangerous.
As for Russia, she stood against Hitler. She can stand against Hillary. A vote for Hillary is a vote for Hell on Earth.

The Eurovision claim to fame of Pravda writer so vocal in insulting Tony Abbott

Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey, who called the Australian PM a loutish oaf for his promise to ‘shirtfront’ Vladimir Putin, has a musical past that changed direction only when he sought to ‘strive for the truth’ in the media

Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey, the Pravda writer who labelled Tony Abbott a “foul-mouthed, despicable, pith-headed and uncouth, loutish oaf”, is a former songwriter-turned-journalist who claims involvement in several Eurovision contests.

“I [was] involved with the world of music and even became one of the leading English songwriters of the 1980s,” Bancroft-Hinchey, 54, said in a now-deleted biographical entry on Pravda’s website.

“I took part in three Eurovision contests, released three albums, two maxi-singles and five singles,” he said.

Despite his success, searches of American, British and Eurovision songwriting credit databases show no results for Bancroft-Hinchey.

The UK-born songwriter said he opted for a change after regular interviews for television and newspapers eventually raised his suspicions about the real motives of the media.

“I noticed that facts were reinterpreted on numerous occasions, almost always, in order to make an article correspond to the idea of a report,” he said.

“One fine day I realised that there was only one way to strive for the truth: to write a true story and to send it to mass media outlets. That’s what I did.”

Following this revelation, Bancroft-Hinchey, who has a degree in modern languages from Leeds university, attended journalism courses and “worked as freelance journalist at Portuguese, Spanish, Latin American, English and Romanian media outlets”, he said.

He discovered Pravda’s website in 2000, and within two years was appointed the editor-in-chief of its Portuguese edition, a position he still appears to hold.

“I think that the main trait that journalists must have is modesty, in order to learn something new every day,” he said.

Bancroft-Hinchey’s open letter to the Australian prime minister on Tuesday is not his first public missive to a western leader.

“You three are the most disgusting examples of useless, spineless incompetent wannabe protagonists who have, in Libya, shown an extremely high degree of irresponsibility,” he wrote in a letter to Barack Obama, David Cameron and the former French president Nicolas Sarkozy in 2011.

A year earlier, he made headlines in Canada for claiming “Vancouver is not fit to hold the Winter Olympics”, describing the country as “the skinny and weakling bro to a beefy United States and a colonial outpost to the United Kingdom”.

Bancroft-Hinchey can be just as effusive when giving praise. He told 3AW radio on Tuesday that Australia’s version of Masterchef was “extra popular” outside the country, and counted himself as fan.

“I like it because people are nice to each other, they are pleasant and the judges are careful not to humiliate the guests, always finding something positive to say about their meals or else giving them constructive criticism,” he said.

However, a Russia specialist at the University of Sydney, Professor Graeme Gill, said it may be inaccurate to suggest Bancroft-Hinchey’s criticisms were simply a case of puppeting official Russian opinion. “Pravda is the paper of the Communist party,” he said. “It’s clearly not a mouthpiece of the government.”

Russia’s Communist party is now the country’s main opposition and won about 20% of the vote in elections in 2011.

Pravda reliably carried the state line during the Soviet era, Gill said, but it was now RIA Novosti, a news agency under the control of the Russian ministry of mass media, that was more likely to reflect the Kremlin’s worldview.

Gus: I personally think that Tony Abbott shot his mouth off like a turdy idiot... Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey is correct on this score. Considering that Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey speaks several languages, one should recognise someone with  large gamut of information and access to varied philosophical thoughts beyond the concept of making money alla Americana to fill our short time on earf.

Note:

RIA Novosti (RussianРИА Новости), sometimes shortly RIA (RussianРИА) was Russia's international news agency until 2013 and continues to be the name of a state-operated domestic Russian-language news agency.[1] Operating under the purview of the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, RIA Novosti is headquartered in Moscow and operated about 80 bureaus internationally. On 9 December 2013 President of Russia Vladimir Putin ordered RIA Novosti's liquidation and the creation of a Russian international news agency Rossiya Segodnya.[2] Dmitry Kiselev, an anchorman of the Russia-1channel was appointed to be the first president of the new information agency.[3] RIA Novosti was scheduled to be closed down in 2014; starting in March 2014, staff were informed that they had the option of transferring their contracts to Rossiya Segodnya or accepting voluntary redundancy.[4] On 10 November 2014, Rossiya Segodnya launched the Sputnik multimedia platform as the international replacement of RIA Novosti and Voice of Russia. even the paleo-conservatives are WORRIED...

Few reputable critics would argue that Hillary is herself a neoconservative. Far more plausible is that she’ll enable the implementation of a neoconservative foreign-policy agenda by casting the neoconservatives’ goals in liberal-interventionist terms, thus garnering Democratic support for initiatives that would face widespread opposition were they spearheaded by a Republican president. Lobe has written that Hillary represents “the point of convergence between liberal interventionism … and neoconservatism,” and Hillary’s willingness to empower a foreign-policy establishment featuring neoconservatives shows that they have in fact received concrete reputational benefit from lining up behind her.

Hillary may operate on the premise that anything that might conceivably garner her additional votes is justified on that basis alone. Yet even on that premise, heralding neoconservative ideologues doesn’t make sense. Again, neoconservatives have virtually no support in the electorate, as the recent Republican primary contest indicated. Their base is mostly among elites. Beyond that, there’s a serious chance that continuing to tout these people will actually damage her electoral fortunes by alienating left-wing voters who might be cajoled into voting for the Democratic ticket, but can’t countenance the possibility of ushering the Iraq-invasion architects of the George W. Bush era back into power.

So if there’s no obvious electoral upside, the most likely reason why Hillary is reaching out to such characters is a deceptively simple one: she shares common interests with them, respects their supposed expertise, and wants to bring them into her governing coalition. For that, anyone interested in a sane foreign policy over the next eight years should be exceedingly worried.

sick old people and good dogs in the USA...

Hillary Clinton has an extra toe - why is no one investigating?

Paul McGeough

Washington: Donald Trump is very laid back, revealing his afflictions for all to see. But that Clinton woman - whoa, blimey and bloody hell, how good is she at pretending all is well when we know she's crook as well as being crooked?

Apart from being the most unpopular candidates to face off for the presidency, these two also are the oldest: he's 70; she's 68.

The Democrat nominee shows off her presidential stamina after continued speculation over her health from Donald Trump.

One of the American campaign traditions, locked in by the ageing candidacy of Ronald Reagan in 1980, is that candidates be honest with the people – though the GOP's John McCain opted to bore them to death, releasing more than 1000 pages of his medical history in 2008.

But Trump and Clinton have opted for a show of the contempt that characterises this campaign – she has released just a couple of pages of her medical history; he has released a couple of paragraphs.

Clinton's did contain some useful information – she had hypothyroidism, a condition that can cause fatigue because the thyroid doesn't produce the correct quantities of a hormone that controls the body's metabolism; and she takes a blood thinner to guard against blood clots – following a fainting incident four years ago in which she suffered a concussion and temporary double vision.

Typical of someone who shreds her emails, sits on her speeches and refuses to hold press conferences, Clinton batted back a demand by Trump that she release more detail, arguing that he should release as much information as she had released.

So it goes without saying that American voters are indebted to Trump's spokespeople and surrogates who, with their brilliant medical qualifications  are fearless in sharing the diagnoses they arrived at while showering this morning; as are his nitwit gallery in the media and in the blogosphere – none of whom dares to write before reading their coffee grounds.

Consider this from Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson last week: Clinton suffers dysphasia – a language disorder revealed by difficulty in speaking and sometimes in comprehension brought on by, wouldn't you know it, by some kind of damage or disease to the brain.

Pierson's diagnosis was supported by a Fox News medical correspondent who went further, arguing that Clinton had suffered "some kind of traumatic brain injury or the after-effects of concussion".

Here then, in no particular order, are some of the other ailments they'd have us believe render Hillary Clinton unfit for the Oval Office –

She has brain cancer;

You can tell she has heart disease because of the defibrillator she hides under her jackets; She has Multiple Sclerosis; She's not fit – is suffering obesity, diabetes and hypertension, all of which have been deduced "on the dimensions of her posterior and the girth of her ankles";Pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli says that, based on her bizarre behaviour in a video, Clinton clearly is suffering Parkinson's disease; That long bathroom break she took during one of the primary debates was a cover for what a law enforcement source said were health issues stemming from a previous brain injury prompting an unnamed neurologist to diagnose post-concussion syndrome, which "can severely impact her cognitive abilities";She's suffering radiation poisoning as a result of visiting Japan after the Fukushima nuclear disaster; While we weren't looking, she has had multiple convulsions that appear to be seizures while cameras have been recording; She recently had a breakdown on TV – "obviously a sign of head injury and stroke";Clinton has tongue cancer – as a result of which part of her tongue has been removed; She might also be suffering a urinary tract infection.

But they're missing the real story – Clinton has an 11th toe. Here's how The New York Times' Frank Bruni addressed the cover-up of the Democratic candidate's freakish, disqualifying digit: "Have you watched her walk? Look closely. She wobbles a bit, or maybe it's more of a teeter, combined with a lurch, and the likeliest cause is podiatric asymmetry.

"I consulted foot specialists. At least they referred to themselves that way online, and when I assured them that an interview with me could be their springboard to [Fox News'] Sean Hannity, they opened up.

"'Does Hillary Clinton have a superfluous toe?' I asked one of them.

"'I can't definitively rule that out,' he said.

"'Hillary Clinton: Hobbled and hiding it?' I asked the other, who agreed that 'until she permits a thorough examination of her feet — and I mean both of them — how can we be sure?'"

He is possibly one of the most popular politicians in the United States — Duke the dog has been elected as mayor of his Minnesotan town for the third time.

Duke was sworn in for his third year-long term in Cormorant, his town of about 1,000 residents, on the weekend.

"Everybody voted for Duke — except for one vote for his girlfriend, Lassie", according to Duke's owner, David Rick.

The 9-year-old great Pyrenees was first elected in 2014 with 12 write-in votes at the town's annual Cormorant Daze festival.
