the stench was spreading...

god in nsw...

"The policy of local government amalgamations has impacted 20 councils, 12 of which are in regional NSW causing uncertainty and anger, and others are locked in costly legal action - that all stops today," Mr Barilaro said.

Mr Barilaro's statement makes no reference to the Sydney councils still fighting their forced mergers. Councils such as Woollahra, Mosman, Hunters Hill and Strathfield have managed so far to prevent their amalgamations by launching legal challenges.

family troubles

Yes we know that Mike Baird retired due to family troubles. So good luck to him and his family. May he never come back to politics or public life in general...

blaming social media for his own political crap is a bit much...

Untruthful comments hurtful

Mr Baird was the first premier to embrace social media, particularly Twitter.

Former local government minister Don Page said the messaging had been easier when he started in politics and only had the mainstream media to deal with.

"With the development of social media, firstly it's become very time-consuming for many politicians, and importantly there's no filters as to whether an opinion expressed in social media is founded on facts or accurate information," he said.

"That can be very traumatising for the person on the receiving end of untruthful comments, so it can be very hurtful.

Baird dismissed most councils in Sydney because they were opposed to his "westCONnex". Baird has been selling many public assets to private enterprise (read developers) and even the lawyers/justices opposed the sale of the Land Registry. Baird has kicked all the poor people out of where they have lived for many years, and Baird did many other tricks to get his own way, including the destruction of the PowerHouse Museum. That people tell the truth or not on social media is irrelevant: Baird has been a far more deceitful Premier than social media could ever be.

the horse has bolted...

Opponents of the New South Wales' Government's forced amalgamations of local councils have vowed to unseat the Liberal Party in the forthcoming Manly by-election, forced by the resignation of Mike Baird.

Last week National Party leader John Barilaro issued an ultimatum to Gladys Berejiklian, who will stand unopposed at tomorrow's ballot for leader of the NSW Liberal Party and the Premier.

"We will no longer be forcing local government mergers and that will be the first course of business," Mr Barilaro said.

The National Party leader said the announcement covers councils not yet merged in country NSW.

The Merger of councils in New South Wales was a smokescreen to remove councils opposed to Baird's WestCONnex. Now that all the councils affected by WestCONnex have been merged and ruled by an administratior with no power to oppose anything, the new position of the "deputy" is a bit lame... Mike Selloff Baird has been a sneaky bastard to achieve the selling of public assets and the destruction of Labor heartlands.

Some people would have gone on a long holiday or have hidden under a rock for having stuffed public assets, by selling them to private hands for no reason... See toon at top.

And by the way, this is not the first time NAB is in cohort with the Liberals (KONservatives). See:
