the truth melts like ice cream...

the truth

It’s not just the press – Sean Spicer also has a beef with Dippin’ Dots.

The new White House press secretary has been dishing out ice-cold insults against the tiny frozen balls of ice cream for years on Twitter.

Spicer began railing against the so-called “Ice Cream of the Future” in April 2010, when he tweeted, “Dippin dots is NOT the ice cream of the future.”

A year later, he reiterated his frosty observation: “I think I have said this before but Dippin Dots are notthe [sic] ice cream of the future.”

President Donald Trump’s flak then followed up two months later, tweeting a Wall Street Journal story about Dippin’ Dots filing for bankruptcy.

Spicer got one last dig in in 2015 and roped the Washington Nationals baseball team into his dairy beef.

“If Dippin Dots was truly the ice cream of the future they would not have run out of vanilla,” he groused.

the blindman counteth...

White House press secretary Sean Spicer acknowledged Monday that there were some problems with the explanation he gave over the weekend for why he considers President Trump's inauguration audience the largest ever, but he continued to stand by the assertion.

Spicer said figures he provided Saturday about the number of trips taken on Metro during the inauguration were at odds with numbers provided by the Metro system itself. He said the numbers he used were not made up but were given to him by the Presidential Inaugural Committee, which received them from an “outside agency.”

Help us, GOP. You’re our only hope.
Here the Washington Post is trying to hold on to straws. Even with the Democrats or god. The GOP is full of loonies such as McCain, Bolton, Cruz and Rubio. The financing of the GOP is coming from the Koch brothers and other scrooges. What do you expect?
First, the liberal press such as The Washington Ost press shoud desist in hammering Trump. What it should do is IGNORE HIM.  Second the liberal press should bring SCIENCE TO THE FORE on issues such as global warming and ignore the denialists. It should become a voice for better democratic values and expose the duplicity of Obama in warring in the Middle East et al.

more of us than of them...

In one of the largest days of protest in U.S. history, millions took to the streets Saturday one day after the inauguration of Donald Trump. The largest protest was the Women’s March on Washington, where more than 500,000 packed the streets. According to crowd scientists at Manchester Metropolitan University in Britain, the crowd was roughly three times the size of the audience at President Trump’s inauguration a day earlier. Women-led marches took place in over 600 locations spread across seven continents—including Antarctica. In addition to Washington, massive protests took place in Boston; Chicago; Denver; Los Angeles; Madison, Wisconsin; New York; Oakland; Portland, Oregon; St. Paul; San Francisco and Seattle. According to one count, as many as 4.6 million people took part in the global day of action.
