running the rattus credits .....

poorly focused biased windbaggery.

Ruddoch on Lateline tonight (22/11/07) was a sad watch... Sometimes when people who used to like him as a small L liberal talk about him, invariably they end up with the question "what has Howard on Ruddoch?"... I have no idea... I could imagine though...

But tonight, Ruddoch trying to support "the due process of the law" — a process that could take at least six month to set up and possibly fudge, who knows — on the serious matter of the fake Lindsay leaflet would be fair if the matter was not so urgent as it could have an influence on the election in two days time. Charges have to be laid very soon, otherwise lets forget the strict regulation on such leaflets and organise a few shoot outs, guns in hands like in the US.

Apparently people were dismissed from the Liberal party, as the culprits have been "caught red handed..." by Labor spies after a tip-off from... LIBERAL whistleblowers!!! But, despite outraged denials from the PM, this damaging leaflet had a source high-up in the NSW branch of the Liberal party campaign. Amazingly, Ruddoch had no idea who were the two people in the party who had been sacked, when he should have made his priority to find out the matter before going on the program...

All Ruddoch could utter pitifully was in regard to Labor's policies being late for costing by the department of finance, forgetting Costello's own huge hospital-board policy that never reached the department for costing... Double standards of the highest degree. One should and would expect more from the Attorney General than poorly focused biased windbaggery, such as stick to the subject at hand.

Yes, seeing Ruddoch on Lateline made the entire Howard government look tired... Read the transcripts tomorrow.

Throw Howard out.

adverts versus cartoons...

The advertising blitzkrieg in the printed media by the coalition beggars belief... Like a last gasp of blurrp that could deliver the miracle Johnnee seeks and maintain the nightmare we desperately want to get out of.

Porkie, porkie, porkie... Who wants to buy our nasty porkies, Now going cheap at a cost to you never to be repeated, unless you buy our porkies.... Come and fear the nasties on the other side! Sure, our non-core policies have not persuaded you so we're selling what we know best: FEAR! FEAR! FEAR!

The toon above reflect this assault. Online papers such as the SMH are being swamped with what I would consider dubious, FRIGHTFUL claims by the Liberal party but then who am I to remember things differently...

I swear my cartoon above is more accurate!

For example: Warmonger. A term very applicable to John Howard. He sneaked a little war in iraq on us — telling porkies beyond the pale to get there. Now, despite him claiming that things are improving... things are not. Go tell this "good news" to all the people who died and those who have fled Iraq and those who suffer!... Porkies galore coming from the master of spin in a useless war...

Vandal is a term very applicable to Malcolm's environment policy as he approved Gunn paper mill while privately "rejecting" it... If I call him "Turnover" in some cartoons, it is not for nothing. When he wakes up, I feel there is a strong possibility, Malcolm puts his licked finger in the air to test where the wind is coming from, and walk with it, despite wanting to go in the opposite direction...

The term "slave driver" is appropriate for the successive bunch of ministers who dipped their toes in the "build the pyramid madness" (Andrews, Minchin, Hockey) and who have designed/implemented John Howard's wish of draconian industrial relations, while not being voted on it. Sure some people can argue they're good for the "economy", but at best it is an illusory value that is far offset by the damage done to the general social context in Australia. All this wonderous "economy" due to a form of slavery while digging the biggest trade deficit ever... And privatising everything that moves, so that everyone is now sinking in bottomless debt... Sneaky smart, but highly unsavoury: when people are so fearful to lose their job and have to be working mad to pay their bills, including credit cards interests of near 20 per cent, there is no time left for anyone to think how they got in this mess in the first place... Smug Johnnee can be snuggling... But we should not put up with it. It's two faced and takes us for morons.

In regard to the rest of the bad bunch, we should not have too much difficuties in applying the terms extremist, pork-barrellist, liars, insensitive git, undertaker, scrooge and porkyist, to the correct character... For example, remember Clowner publicly claiming at least 8500 times that "Saddam has weapons of mass destruction"? If he firmly believed this, he was a moron as anyone with a brain was aware of the heist, and if he knew if was a fanciful claim but used it anyway, he was a first class liar and a porkyist...

May be I should have added moron to the list.

Throw them all out tomorrow
