Even the Sydney Morning Herald is singing to the Murdoch tune

UGLY...

Fairfax Media chairman Roger Corbett attended a $500-a-head Liberal Party fund-raiser and stood to applaud Tony Abbott on Wednesday night, amid increasing criticism and a suggestion that he should resign from the Reserve Bank board for publicly criticising the Prime Minister.

Mr Corbett said he had no comment when asked about a call by Senator Doug Cameron that he resign from the board of the central bank.

and these guys are leading us by the nose...

At news.com.shit, apart from viral adverts for the libs, coming full frontal, and one for the Labor Party in the bottom corner, the story about a "new" unknown volcano under the sea has the picture of a volcano spewing fire like krakatoa... In fact the volcano has been know for quite a while, except people though it was a series of volcanoes (which it could still be — as some volcanoes have several vents)... But this volcano became extinct more than one hundred million years ago, that's about 1667 times the creationist's calculation of the timeframe in the bible bed stories...

meanwhile at the rich list headquarters:

Mining billionaire Gina Rinehart (see toon at top) has proposed a new way to broaden Australia's tax base - allowing convicted criminals to buy their way out of jail.

In a column for Australian Resources and Investment magazine, Mrs Rinehart says the Government should consider letting non-violent offenders pay to get out of prison - or pay to avoid serving time altogether - because Australia needs more workers and taxpayers as the population ages.

In the column, entitled entitled 'Learning from my Europe trip', Mrs Rinehart - Australia’s richest person, ranked first on the BRW Rich 200 List – suggests non-violent offenders who cannot afford to pay could agree to give up their voting rights or passport for a nominated period of time

dangerous tony..

"When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?” John Maynard Keynes famously asked. Tony Abbott is promising not to change his mind, to charge on regardless. And that is dangerous.

The next Prime Minister’s pledge to let the deficit blow out rather than break a spending promise remains true to the spirit of the carbon tax attack that worked so well for him as opposition leader, never mind that it also runs contrary to a concurrent pledge to “reduce the debt”.
