Swisher asked Clinton if she felt that a woman president would have handled the virus better.

“I have no doubt, especially if it were me,” she replied. “I have no doubt. I mean, I was born for that.”

The New York Times published the argument in May that female leaders New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen were handing the virus much better than the men leaders were.

Clinton was a big admirer of Dr. Anthony Fauci before the pandemic and would have likely featured him and his prescribed restrictions prominently in her response to the virus.

Clinton said that the idea of Trump winning another four years made her literally sick.

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough called on Joe Biden to "not do anymore debates," tweeting that the first showdown between the current president and the former vice president was "a disgrace."

Scarborough, a staunch critic of the president and former GOP congressman who left the Republican Party not long after Trump was elected, also said the president's microphone should have been cut off as he continually interrupted Biden.

"This is a colossal waste of the American people’s time. If they are not going to cut his mic so we can have an exchange of ideas, then Biden should not attend any more debates," the "Morning Joe" host tweeted to his more than 2.7 million followers.

Barak Obama is supporting Joe Biden, mostly to defeat Trump... One does not hold much confidence in Joe not to step in something smelly. We are told by the Atlantic that:

Latin american countries have long had good reason to distrust the U.S., which was itself an imperialist power in the region after European nations faded away. Covert CIA operations, coups d’état supported by Washington, and direct American invasions colored Latin American perceptions of the U.S. during the 20th century, and the rise of leftist politicians in the 1990s and 2000s cemented strong anti-American attitudes.

So when Obama and Biden entered office in 2009, they were faced with a legacy of decades of harm and distrust. Biden declared on his first visit to the region that “the time of the United States dictating unilaterally, the time where we only talk and don’t listen, is over.” Secretary of State John Kerry reaffirmed that message in 2013, announcing the era of the Monroe Doctrine—a U.S. policy ostensibly issued to condemn European intervention in the Americas but really just used to justify America’s own intervention in Latin American affairs—to be over, sparking some measure of celebration in the region. (Though the degree of America’s engagement did change, it did intervene in countries’ internal affairs, often with their government’s support.)

... Biden would approach the region differently. The former vice president made more trips just to Guatemala—hardly a behemoth such as Mexico or Brazil, or a strategic interest such as Colombia—in his two terms than Trump has made to all of Latin America as president...

Biden [spent] just one day in Guatemala, but nevertheless squeezed in a private meeting with Morales, led migration talks with the leader and his El Salvadoran and Honduran counterparts, joined a lunch with them and the American delegation, and answered questions from the local press.

Meanwhile we need to know that Morales was on the nose:

GUATEMALA CITY (AP) — Guatemalan prosecutors are seeking the arrest of the former communications minister for ex-President Jimmy Morales on money laundering charges after finding a connection to a house in which authorities found about $16 million in various currencies last week.

The Special Prosecutor Against Impunity searched four properties Tuesday looking for José Luis Benito Ruiz without success.

The money was found during an Oct. 14 search of a house in the colonial city of Antigua. It was inside 22 suitcases. The house was otherwise empty, but had a video surveillance system. On Tuesday, prosecutors said in a statement that Benito Ruiz had been renting the house, an arrangement that began one month after he left office in January 2020.

At the previous elections, the Murdoch New York Post was urging people to vote while holding their nose... Now, you really have to hold your nose...

First Lady Melania Trump has made her first solo appearance to support her husband's election campaign.

Speaking in Pennsylvania, she said: "He loves seeing those around him and his country succeed."

Mrs Trump also got a laugh when she admitted she didn't always agree with the way Mr Trump says things on social media.

we’re the lost americans...

We’re the lost Americans

The lost Americans

We came into a land that knew us not

We made the world again

With God and law and sin

While others paid for everything we’ve got
