The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear a Virginia school district's appeal in a case brought by a trans-identified former high school student who sued for the right to use bathrooms and locker room facilities designated for the opposite sex.

In an order list released Monday, America's high court denied a petition for a writ of certiorari in the case of Gavin Grimm v. Gloucester County School Board.

The court noted in its brief order that Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, two of the court's more conservative members, would have granted the petition to hear the case.

"Too many people played integral roles in our success and too many people who loved me so much," Grimm wrote on Twitter Monday. "I have nothing more to say but thank you, thank you, thank you. Honored to have been part of this victory."

The Spectator is a rightwing rag with forceful opinions that could destroy angels’ reputations on a good windy day… We are thus regaled to The embarrassing and pathetic Vogue profile of Dr Jill Biden, EdD, by Roger Kimball…

One could think that Kimball has lost the ball on this one, by expressing the author in Vogue is sarcastic and that he would be shot in North Korea for trying to have an ironic laugh about the first lady, but Kimball is wrong. The article is only a misjudged adulation trying to promote a genuine lady with genuine fervour — the bonafide of Dr Jill Biden, EdD, who apart from being a tad above ordinary, seems to be genuinely dedicated to people… Comparing cheese and chalk would be to compare Melania with Jill — and Kimball does not miss the opportunity:

The really interesting thing is to compare this cover story of Dr Jill with the cover story that Vogue ran of the last FLOTUS, Melania Trump.

Ha, ha, ha. Just kidding. There was no cover story of Melania in Vogue or, as far as I know, any other major women’s magazine, during her time as first lady. Melania, a former model, is elegant and, to continue to speak plainly, gorgeous. She does not have an advanced degree in education from the University of Delaware, it’s true. She has not written a dissertation on ‘Student Retention at the Community College Level: Meeting Students’ Needs’ as has Dr Jill Biden, EdD. But she is what the Bidens claim to admire. A polyglot immigrant who has made good and has contributed much to American society. Somehow, though, she didn’t pass muster with the arbiters of taste in the realm of American fashion. Clearly, they prefer their mutton dressed as lamb just so long as politics of the sheep are the right — which is to say, the left — politics.

Beautifully aimed poisoned arrows, Mr Kimball… But I would say this has nothing to do with leftness or rightness of the FLOTUSes, but with the dubious-charming characters of their husbands… I would believe Vogue would not have a bar of Donald who to say the least would have met his match with feisty Melania. The fur would fly with hate and passion. Donald would be a full barrel of funny dangerous dynamite — with loony ideas, some bright, some crap, a few reaching genius level without touching the stratosphere of say an Einstein, as most of Donald’s would be in the domain of craptating economics in order to make money… Biden ’s grandiose ideas would be to conquer the world as every American President have dreamed of, except for The Donald who thought this grand concept was crap. You be the judge… Meanwhile Melania is able to let let us know, and show, that her brain is much bigger than her beautiful arse, despite her goddess-like curves. On that level, we haven’t seen any of these fleshy characteristics of Dr Jill Biden — herself being deemed to be a Goddess by Jonathan van Meter, the writer in Vogue… Goddesses without exposed curves is a lie.

But this is beside the point. One would have to guess that Dr Jill is like many Catholic women or women married to Catholic men. At the end of the day, hubby comes home: “Hi dear, what’s for dinner?”… 

"He's so busy, I'm so busy, but we do keep dinner. We have dinner together, no phones, the phones have to be off. And now we're having dinner in this beautiful home. There's a fireplace in the dining room [that they light]," she said. "We just sit and talk for a while, and then he has to go back to work into the night and I'm grading papers."

Dr. Biden also revealed that they've done their best to keep up a family tradition of getting together with their children (and grandchildren) for weekly Sunday night meals.”

Here Gus is pushing sarcasm a bit too far. I believe Jill Biden is actually a genuine moral woman who may not be so much interested in the hypocritical political manipulations of her hubby, but values his good side… As people say, it’s best not to see the kitchen while having a meal in the dinning room, though these days many kitchen of famous restaurants are open plan and one can see what the brilliant chef is up to. Nothing like this with politics...

As a political careerist, Joe Biden has no choice but to be duplicitist to survive the pitfalls of his profession. And it’s not going to improve. Joe has been cleverly devious and apologetic when found out…

So, I wish Jill the best of luck. I know good people who are now in the early stage of dementia, symptoms of which Joe is now showing… I have had a few friends and family members who died from this horrible affliction. Being an old kook myself, I often question my own sanity as if it was a Woolies trolley with a faulty wheel. It’s hard work to avoid the groceries bouncing around and falling off. 

And this is why in these images (see from top plus others of the kind), I have Jill genuinely asking “What is faith?” when obviously hubby, a believer, is hypocritical to the hilt, like many good Catholics. All is forgiven,... except Joe has to free Assange:
