booming chinese economy "needs brutal american tourists".....

The Chinese government held a “tourism leadership summit” to entice Americans to spend their money in China, featuring a personal invite from genocidal dictator Xi Jinping.

Xi sent a personalized message to the event, in the city of Xi’an, emphasizing the importance that “cultural and people-to-people exchanges” hold in the eyes of the Communist Party for improving relations with America. Organizers and state media noted that the China-U.S. Tourism Leadership Summit used to be an annual event but had not been held since 2019, the last year before the Communist Party began locking down entire cities in response to the coronavirus outbreak beginning in Wuhan late that year.

Xi’an was the site of some of Xi’s most brutal lockdowns, in December 2021 and October 2022.

“We warmly welcome American tourists to travel to China, meet Chinese friends, experience Chinese culture, visit beautiful landscapes, and experience the real China,” Xi said in his message to the event, according to China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency.

Xinhua cited Xi as saying:

It is hoped that all walks of life in the two countries will take this summit as an opportunity to have in-depth exchanges, build consensus, and take active actions to promote personnel exchanges through tourism cooperation, continue China-U.S. friendship with cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and help the San Francisco vision turn into reality, Xi said.

The Global Times, another Chinese government propaganda outlet, reported that leftist American President Joe Biden also sent a letter to the organizers and attendees at the tourism summit inviting Chinese nationals to travel to America.

American officials are expecting a surge in Chinese tourism.

“According to our latest forecast, we anticipate that Chinese visitation to the U.S. will increase 150 percent from 2023 to 2025,” Grant Harris, assistant secretary for industry and analysis of the U.S. Department of Commerce, said, according to the Global Times. “That’s 4.7 times faster than the rise in overall overseas visitations to the U.S. during this time.”

Harris was among the allegedly 400 invitees participating in the Xi’an event.

The Global Times did not offer similar predictions for Americans traveling to China. The State Department currently has a travel warning in place for China — including the occupied territories and colonized Hong Kong and Macau — warning Americans they could be randomly imprisoned due to their nationality.

“U.S. citizens traveling or residing in the PRC may be detained without access to U.S. consular services or information about their alleged crime,” the State Department warning explains. “U.S. citizens in the PRC may be subjected to interrogations and detention without fair and transparent treatment under the law.”

Xi’s invitation to American tourists comes as the dictator seeks to attract more foreign money to the country to repair its ailing economy. The lockdowns are just part of the story behind the ongoing decline of the Chinese economy, disrupting manufacturing and the daily course of business in the nation’s largest economic hubs. China has also experienced a historic loss of foreign investment, a sluggish job market, and a catastrophic year in the real estate industry that saw the government order the liquidation of the massive developer Evergrande. The chaos of the lockdowns — peaking with a debilitating riot at the world’s largest iPhone factory in November 2022 — sent multinational corporations fleeing the country, looking to “de-risk” by moving manufacturing into countries such as India and Vietnam.

The slump has prompted Xi to take more action personally. In March, the dictator hosted a group of VIP American businessmen to assuage concerns that the Communist Party was not maintaining a hospitable environment for foreign operations.

“We are planning and implementing a series of major measures to comprehensively deepen reforms, continue to build a market-oriented, legal and international first-class business environment,” Xi told those potential investors, according to state media reports at the time:

In the face of new situations and changes in China-U.S. economic and trade relations in recent years, both sides must adhere to mutual respect, mutual benefit, equal consultation, act in accordance with economic laws and market rules, expand and deepen mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation, respect each other’s development rights.

China documented an $11.8-billion decline in foreign investment for the fiscal quarter ending September 2023, the first decline in foreign direct investment in the history of communist China, necessitating increasingly severe measures to attract more foreign cash. The Chinese government set a smaller GDP growth goal for 2024 than 2023, aiming for five percent growth.

Xi reportedly sat down with foreign businessmen again on Thursday to “reassure the business leaders,” according to Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post, and encourage confidence in the Chinese economy.

Russia and China Have Had Enough

Both have had enough of being “polite”. You want confrontation? Confrontation is what you’re gonna get.

Something very important happened earlier this week in Astana during the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi went straight to the point: he called for SCO members to “maintain their strategic autonomy”, and “never allow external forces” to turn Eurasia into a “geopolitical arena.”

Wang Yi detailed how “a few countries are pursuing hegemony and power, forming small cliques, establishing hidden rules, engaging in interference and suppression, ‘decoupling and cutting off ties,’ and even assisting the ‘three forces’ in the region”, thus attempting to suppress the strategic autonomy of the Global South.

The “three forces” is Chinese code for terrorism, separatism and religious extremism – actually the three main reasons for the foundation of the SCO way back in 2001, a short while before 9/11.

The straightforward translation of Wang’s message points to Beijing being very much aware of the Hegemon’s myriad Hybrid War tactics now deployed all across the Heartland. Still, Beijing excels in politeness, calling for “common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable” security cooperation and to work with the “international community”.

The problem is the “international community” is a hostage of the “rules-based international order”.

Redefining the “three forces”

The next meeting of SCO heads of state is in Astana in July – only one month after a crucial BRICS ministerial meeting in Russia. Two months ago, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at a meeting in Boao in Hainan province in China, made it clear that all leaders of SCO member states simply cannot skip it.

Sooner rather than later, perhaps as early as next year, BRICS and SCO may be working not only in tandem but possibly sharing the same table.

This year’s SCO summit is not only crucial in terms of re-organizing a real war on terror against Hegemon-driven tactics – but also about SCO expansion and improved economic/trade cooperation.

Belarus will become a full SCO member in July – as President Lukashenko already confirmed. And last year Saudi Arabia’s cabinet also approved the decision to join the SCO.

Only three months ago in Beijing, during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the SCO secretariat, Wang echoed President Xi at the end of his fateful face to face meeting with Putin in Moscow in 2023: “Changes unseen in a century” are on. Hence the renewed importance of the SCO – the de facto largest non-Western multilateral organization focused on political/security cooperation, and one of the pillars of multipolarity.

It’s idle to point out once again that the SCO is either ignored, dismissed or misunderstood by the collective West – as it is not based on NATO-style endless military expansion. The SCO is totally about South-South integration. It’s no mean feat to have India, China, Pakistan and Iran on the same table discussing as equals – and respecting the priorities of their Central Asia/Heartland partners.

Over the years, everything ended up being discussed at the SCO table – way beyond the initial focus on the “three forces”: diplomacy, national defense, security, economy, trade, culture, education, transportation, technology, agriculture.

As much as the SCO is at the heart of the multimodal Russia-China strategic partnership, it is also driving the increasing economic interconnection of China and the Central Asian “stans”.

In the Year of the Great Decision – where the Russian presidency of BRICS should be outlining the privileged road map for a more equal system of international relations – SCO players seem to be fully aware that the “three forces” not accidentally constitute the preferred Hybrid War tactics deployed by the Empire of Chaos to Divide and Rule.

That applies not only to shady jihadi outfits such as ISIS-Khorasan but also to the imperial grip over drugs, human and organ trafficking global rackets.

Slowly and surely we are reaching the next level: the SCO going all out, as a multilateral organization, against the terror tactics of a Hegemon which even abets genocide.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov could not be more explicit at the end of the Astana summit:

“The task of developing common approaches to ensuring Eurasian security and cooperation by the states of this continent themselves is urgent. We stressed that the SCO may well play the role of a catalyst for these processes, involving other partners in the region.”

In practice, Lavrov mentioned a new drive for the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS). Translation: RATS will expand its mandate on information security, fighting organised crime and digging deeper into the connections between drug trafficking and terrorism financing.

Are you ready for the confrontation you want?

Now couple all of the above with the head of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, being more than explicit at a CIS summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on what the Empire of Chaos and its vassals are up to next.

The four main takeaways:

  1. The U.S., UK and NATO are now on Full Hybrid War mode against Russia.
  2. NATO is facilitating a massive transfer of terrorists/jihadis from several latitudes to Ukraine, with some of these, especially branded ISIS-K, instrumentalized all across the Heartland. Call it a Terror Foreign Legion – which should be regarded as the SCO’s number one enemy. Bortnikov referred to “the constant rotation of militants in the Syria-Iraqi and Afghan-Pakistani zones, and the emergence of new militant training camps near the southern borders of the commonwealth.”
  3. Ukraine has turned to Total Terror – complete with non-stop sabotage raids across Russia’s borders.
  4. On a positive note, the Global Majority is on the move: Russia is closely cooperating, increasingly, with scores of nations in West Asia, wider Asia, Africa and Latin America.

After a series of extraordinary “coincidences” these past few weeks, from “lone gunman” assassination attempts to engineered coups, outright threats and mysterious disappearances, the whole BRICS-SCO ecosystem has to be on very high alert.

After the epic Putin-Xi summit in Beijing and the stranger than fiction Raisi helicopter drama, the renewed solidity of the interlocked Russia-China-Iran strategic partnerships is pointing to Russia-China about to take their velvet gloves off.

Putin and Xi, each in their own way, have already warned the collectively imbecilized West: if you want confrontation, you’re gonna get confrontation. In spades. And at your own peril.

The impeding Mother of All Tests, coming this summer, is how far NATO will go when it comes to directly attacking the Russian Federation. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warns that “Europe is preparing to start a war with Russia”.

Uncultured, uneducated political-military Eurotrash “elites” of course are completely incapable of understanding reality outside of their bubble. Moreover, they interpret Russian patience and legalistic approach as weakness. Well: intel sources in Moscow are now making it very clear – off the record; the response, if they try anything stupid, will be devastating.

On a BRICS level, there is a sort of last-minute attempt to defuse the incandescence. Wang Yi and President Lula’s top foreign policy advisor, Celso Amorim, have released a statement outlining a “common understanding” over an endgame in Ukraine.

Essentially, the statement reads that “China and Brazil support holding an international peace conference at an appropriate time, recognized by both Russia and Ukraine, with equal participation by all parties, and fair discussion of all peace plans.” The Empire of Chaos will obviously reject it.

Beijing has all its attention focusing on Empire of Chaos provocations in Taiwan while Moscow focuses on NATO provocations in Ukraine. Both have had enough of being “polite”. You want confrontation? Confrontation is what you’re gonna get.

foreign guests.....

Chinese authorities ordered hotels across the country on Friday not to refuse foreign guests, based on the excuse of the hotels' lacking relevant qualifications. The hotels are being guided and supervised to improve their foreign guest reception services following some complaints from netizens from Nigeria, the UK, Pakistan and other countries.

After receiving the complaints about some hotels refusing foreign guests due to "lacking qualifications for receiving foreign guests," or "not knowing how to input information into the systems," especially in small cities, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the Ministry of Commerce (MOCFOM), and the National Immigration Administration have carefully studied the situation and come up with a slew of targeted measures.

MOFCOM has guided the China Hotel Association to issue an "initiative on facilitating accommodation services for foreign nationals in China," which aims to strengthen the learning of laws and regulations, improve reception capabilities, and enhance talent training.

This initiative encourages accommodation enterprises to elevate their foreign service standards, and provide more convenience for foreign nationals visiting and residing in China. Additionally, efforts are being made to coordinate with online platforms to offer a series of hotel English courses, providing free training for check-in registration, room booking, and other hotel-related English skills to accommodation operators on the platform. This helps improve the foreign language proficiency of accommodation industry workers to better serve foreign guests.

The MPS is deploying nationwide public security agencies to further optimize the management services for foreign guest accommodation registration, facilitating the registration process for foreign guests and creating a first-class business environment, the government said.

According to China's Exit and Entry Administration Law, when foreigners stay in hotels in China, the hotels shall register their accommodation in accordance with the regulations for the public security administration of the hotel industry, and submit foreigners' accommodation registration information to the public security organs in the places where the hotels are located.

Hotels must register guests' information. The guest's identification documents must be checked, and the registration must be truthful according to the specified items, according to the Measures for the Public Security Administration of the Hotel Industry.

For foreign guests, the accommodation registration form must be submitted to the local public security organ within 24 hours.

Therefore, both Chinese and foreign guests must comply with the legal requirements for accommodation registration, fulfilling their legal obligations, and public security organs shall guide hotels to submit accommodation registration information for Chinese and foreign guests according to the regulations.

Over the past few months, China has introduced six new measures to improve visa policies and five new measures to facilitate visits to China by foreigners, actively addressed the difficulties foreigners face in mobile payment, rolled out a visa-free entry policy for foreign tourist groups traveling to China by cruise ships, and set up fundamental regulations on the docking and resupply of international cruise ships at China's ports, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin told a press conference on Thursday.

During this year's Labor Day holidays, there were over 8 million inbound and outbound travelers, an increase of 35 percent compared with last year, Wang said.

Washington has enforced a number of illegal unilateral sanctions against China’s Xinjiang region since 2021 which, among other things, subvert the internationally recognized idea of “innocent until proven guilty,” assuming that any and all goods produced in Xinjiang, or even partly produced in Xinjiang, are tainted with so-called “slave labor,” forcing accused entities to prove they are INNOCENT which is all but impossible.

Finally, though, someone is speaking up for China.

That person is Professor Alena Douhan from the UN, who recently visited Xinjiang and is now calling on the US to immediately remove its illegal sanctions.

Will it work? And how has the Western media reported on the UN’s statement? Today we’ll investigate.

This is Reports on China, I’m Andy Boreham in Shanghai. Let’s get reporting.

UN demands U.S. remove ILLEGAL China sanctions
