ROYALS

The Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, will visit Australia in November this year, the Prime Minister says.

The trip will be Prince Charles and Camilla's second joint-visit to Australia.

They toured the country in November 2012 to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

In a statement, Mr Abbott welcomed the announcement.

"Recent visits by Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have further strengthened the relationship between Australia and the United Kingdom," he said.

Prince Harry visited Australia as part of a military secondment this year, also making a stop in New Zealand.

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and his wife Duchess Catherine brought their son Prince George along for a 10-day tour in April last year.

Prince Charles is first in line to the British throne.

long live the republic...

minister dominic perrottet is right: welfare is evil...

Minister Dominic Perrottet is right: Welfare is evil... It leads to divorce, unemployment and idleness... And of course the best example of this is THE ROYAL FAMILY... Have you ever looked at this family of Germans in details? The way the Queen Victoria stuffed up the life of her NINE children after marrying HER FIRST COUSIN? Was she an aggrieved psychopath?

Yep the royals do nothing much. The queen rubber stamps decrees voted by the houses, and the kids go on junkets paid for by the state, including visiting the state of Aussiedom for their summer holidays... They are a family of bludgers. Sure, they go and do charity "work", if one can call visiting a few hospices, work... It's not even work for the dole... I know, all this pomp and lavish dinners is a hard price to pay...

And what about divorce... YEP, being on welfare leads to divorce... Remenber Diana? And the way the queen was going to "schmollen" (sulk) the idea of having a royal funeral for the "people's princess"?...

And Charlie (not Hebdo) does not know what to do with himself most of the time, the part-time grand doodah of the freemasonic lodge, he indulges in GREENish ideals... the cad...

Lewis Carroll Alice in wonderland had a few things to say about Queen Vic...

Yes the family who is on the biggest welfare rort in the world is the English royal family... And our silly women's magazines encourage them to rort some more! Idiots... Ah I see these rags are run by conservative barons, full of traditional shit for cash...

Long live the republic !... on the way to truer democracy !

a grand-mamma legacy... great-granny would spit chips...

Having chosen to hold their daughter's christening at the church of St Mary Magdalene, Sandringham, where the Princess of Wales was baptised, the couple chose Diana's niece, Laura Fellowes, as one of five godparents named on the day.

And that was only the start of the homage to the Duke's late mother, whose name, of course, would be one of those with which two-month-old Charlotte was christened.

The music included Vaughan Williams's Prelude on Rhosymedre, used at their wedding as processional music and in the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1981.

LONG LIVE THE AUSSIE REPUBLIC !

that haunting nazi salute...

Images allegedly showing a young Queen Elizabeth II giving a Nazi salute in the early 1930s have been published by British newspaper The Sun, with Buckingham Palace voicing disappointment over the incident.

The front page of The Sun showed the Queen, then aged about six, raising her right hand in the air as her mother, the late Queen Mother, does the same.

The headline on the story read "Their Royal Heilnesses" — a reference to the Heil Hitler greeting used in Nazi Germany.

"It is disappointing that film shot eight decades ago and apparently from [Her Majesty's] personal family archive has been obtained and exploited in this manner," a Buckingham Palace spokesman said in a statement.

While a royal source insisted the Queen would not have known the significance of the gesture at such a young age, the images threaten to cause deep embarrassment for the 89-year-old monarch.

The images showing the alleged Nazi salute came from a 20-second black-and-white home movie, which The Sun reported was shot at the Royal family's rural Balmoral estate in Scotland in 1933 or 1934.

When the Royal B-team struts the Aussie shores in November, we all should welcome it with a nazi salute...

long live the Aussie republic...

The Sun’s decision to publish footage of the Queen at six or seven years old performing a Nazi salute, held in the royal archives and hitherto unavailable for public viewing, has triggered concerns that the palace has for years sought to suppress the release of damaging material confirming the links between leading royals and the Third Reich.

Unlike the National Archives, the royal archives, which are known to contain large volumes of correspondence between members of the royal family and Nazi politicians and aristocrats, are not compelled to release material on a regular basis. Now, as that relationship becomes the subject of global debate, historians and MPs have called for the archives to be opened up so that the correspondence can be put into context.

“The royal family can’t suppress their own history for ever,” said Karina Urbach of the Institute of Historical Research at the University of London. “This is censorship. Censorship is not a democratic value. They have to face their past. I’m coming from a country, Germany, where we all have to face our past.”

10 more years of turdy? hell is a better place !...

“I think most Australians agree that there is a fundamental injustice at the heart of our system when a young boy or girl growing up in this great country can aspire to just about any job except the one that should be the most representative of all – head of state,” FitzSimons said.

FitzSimons told the Australian Financial Review [paywall] he believed Tony Abbott would be Australia’s last monarchist prime minister.

“Whatever happens from this point, should it be Labor or should it be another Liberal [government], in all likelihood there will soon be bipartisan support [for a republic] in the federal leadership. I don’t know if Tony Abbott is going to be there for 10 days, 10 months or 10 years but there will come a time in the next political cycle will there be bipartisan support for a republic,” he said.

“Who knows who will succeed Tony Abbott but one possibility would be Julie Bishop, who I believe is a republican. Joe Hockey is certainly a republican and I know Malcolm Turnbull is as devoted to the republican movement as he was in 1999, so there is support for a republic in the high echelons of the leadership of the Liberal party,” he said.

fitzy was wrong... and it was not a "good look"...

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has declared he is a proud constitutional monarchist, ahead of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s visit to Australia next week.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan will stay at Admiralty House on Sydney Harbour from Tuesday, undertaking 36 official engagements including the Invictus Games and visits to Taronga Zoo and the Sydney Opera House.

They will also visit Melbourne, Fraser Island and Dubbo.

Mr Morrison made reference to his predecessor Malcolm Turnbull’s republican views this morning, saying the picture of the Queen was “back up in the PM’s office”.

“It was one of the things Malcolm and I disagreed on, but look, I respect how all Australians feel on this,” Mr Morrison told Sky News.

“It’s not something I go around beating my chest about. It’s just I’ve got a lot of respect for the constitutional monarchy, and if it ain’t broke, I don’t see the need to fix it, but I respect all Australians’ views on that and I’m looking forward to seeing (the Royals).

“I’m going on a bridge climb with the Prince, so I reckon he’ll get up there a bit quicker than I will, so you’ll see me huffing and panting at the top. It won’t be a good look.”
